Public Communications and Cultural Studies (PCCS) is an interdisciplinary program designed to educate University of Michigan students about mass media and communications incorporating part of the social sciences curriculum.
The program focuses on the role of communications and media in the United States and internationally. These are times in which knowledge about people, events, global economies, comes primarily from mass media and social media; people may need to understand the historical, social, and cultural significance of film, print, digital and electronic media and how these make impacts in their lives.
